Late C18. Painted brick; two storeys; two sash windows with cambered heads; two plain wood pilaster doorcases with rectangular fanlights, small weather-hoods and flush-panelled doors; C19 canted bay window; modillion eaves; brick-coped and gables; end stacks; old tile roof. One window recessed wing on left-hand side with arched covered way.
Warehouse adjoining above projects with gabled end to road. Painted brick, three storeys, two sash windows with cambered heads, a loading door at centre of first and second storeys.
Telford, Wilkinson and other ironmasters and Trevithick, the steam engineer, used this house as an occasional meeting-place.
