A fine late C18 red brick mansion of 3 storeys. 5 sash windows. The centre,
with 3 windows, breaks forward under pediment. Stone modillion cornice and
capping to pediment with 3 stone urns. Stone bands between 1st and 2nd storeys,
and moulded stone architraves to the 3 centre windows, that over door having
a moulded architrave and pediment on consoles, and all 3 having panels of
stone balusters below each. Good central doorcase of moulded stone with
engaged Tuscan columns and ornamental frieze; 6-panel door with good traceried
semi-circular fanlight; steps up; C19 cast-iron railings at each side. Ground
floor windows have modern fenestration. Moulded cornice, recessed at each
side.
The listed buildings from No 21 to Bank House on the North West Side of Church
Street form a group.
