House. Dated 1593 with later alterations. Whitewashed brick and thatched
roof. T plan. Main range runs east-west. North facade of 2 storeys.
Central square porch flanked to right and left by full height late C19 canted
bays terminating in parapet and semi-circular pediment. Bays glazed with
renewed casements. Platband at first floor continues into returns. 4-light
renewed cross casement over door. Cross wing to east with shaped gable on
kneelers and 2 2-light renewed cross casement each floor. Gabled roofs.
Twin flued cross wing internal end stack decorated with cruciform leaf panels.
Main range has stepped ridge stack carrying 2 rebuilt octagonal flues.
Western gable is shaped. 2 ground floor windows and 2 blocked first floor
windows. Datestone W 1662. Internal stack carrying 2 C20 flues. Platband
continues into south facade. Eastern cross wing continues to terminate in
shaped gable and partly external gable end stack. On main front a 2 storey
canted bay left of centre and various windows in remainder, all renewed.
C19 outshut extension to ground floor. C19 2 storey extension to cross wing
originally with straight gable to south, now shaped with decorated stacks
standing on kneelers.
