Late C16 plastered timber-frame house to east with early C17 painted brick
wing on south-west forming L-shaped plan. Steep black glazed pantile roof
with gabled ends, south gable with parapet and internal brick stack with
lozenge-shaped flues. East gable with external brick chimney stack. Two
storeys and attic (attic window in gable end). Garden front with large 3-light
sashes, some with glazing bars, and good late C18 doorcase with fluted pilasters,
fluted frieze and dentilled cornice, traceried rectangular fanlight and panelled
door.
One storey-and-attic outbuilding on east end, plastered timber-frame, pantile
roof, probably C17/18.
Interior: south-west wing has 2 early C17 moulded plaster ceilings, the
first floor ceiling has frieze with vine motif. Also in south-west wing
a good C17 staircase with turned balusters and massive turned newels.
The west side facing road was faced in brick in late C19, and there is a
modern brick extension on north side.
