Former use unknown, now shop and museum store with C15 undercroft.
Shop and museum store:- Rendered timber frame at first and 2nd floors.
Pantile roof. Corner site. 3 storeys, jetty at first floor. 6 bays
to Charing Cross, 2 bays to Maddermarket. C20 picture windows at
ground floor. Loading doors at extreme right. Sash windows with
glazing bars and simple moulded surrounds. First floor loading-doors
in 3rd bay from right with glazing bars, simple moulded surround and
flat hood. Plain box cornice. Hipped roof Undercroft:- brick.
2 bays with single order diagonal ribs. West bay with hollow chamfered
ribs and circular side chamber away from street. C20 east wall.
The building is graded II* because of the undercroft, one of an
important group within the City Walls.
