Former Farm House, mainly C18, with C17 wing to west. Red brick, and rendered
and colourwashed timber frame. Black pantile and thatched roofs. 2 storeys
formerly with attics, and 1½ storeys to west, 1 storey to east. 2 storey and
single storey rear outshuts. C18 wing, south facade of 3 windows. Central
C19 4 panel door with moulded timber doorcase with patera stops and projecting
pentice board. C20 sash windows with glazing bars. Flat gauged brick arches
at ground floor level. Set back pilasters at each end. Brick plinth with plat-
band at first floor level and attic floor level on gables. Timber dentil eaves.
Parapet gables with brick kneelers and end stacks. Blocked opening in east
gable. Timber frame western wing has tarred brick plinth, and brick gable
wall with kneelers, parapet verge and tumbling-in. Wall plate and sill plate
visible externally. C19, 4-light transomed casement window 2 C20 casements
in west gable. Thatched roof. Single storey C19 wash house of one window to
east with central axial stack. Fragments of timber frame visible inside lower
wing. Chamfered axial beam with jewelled stops. Double roof with C18 knees
bolted to principals. In C18 wing, ogee and niched stops. Open brick fireplaces
with timber bressumers. Roof replaced in c.1980.
