GV II

House. Dated 1794; later C19 alterations. Brick; hipped tile
roof and brick stacks. Double-depth plan with central stair. 3
storeys; 3-window range. Top frieze and cornice; angle
pilaster strips. Windows have rubbed brick flat arches and
12-pane sashes; ground floor right hipped bay with casements;
2nd floor has 6-pane sashes. Central round-headed entrance has
panelled pilasters and consoled open pediment; fanlight over
half-glazed door. Brick to ground floor left end inscribed:
IOHN GLOVER/ 1794. Left return has canted hipped bay; sashes
with small-paned upper sashes; 2nd floor canted oriel with
casements. Rear has hipped stair wing and single-storey wing;
2 lateral stacks. INTERIOR has stair with stick balusters;
some C19 fireplaces and cornices.
