House, now house and surgery. C16 and C18 with C20 alterations. Coursed lias
rubble with asbestos tile roof. Originally hall house, now, 2-storey, 5-window,
range of irregularly spaced C20 casements, some in original openings. Early wood
lintel to first floor left and ground floor centre. C20 door to left of centre.
Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers; that to left has a carved face. Brick stack
at end. Left gable has shallow corbelled projection with some ashlar quoins.
Similar wing attached to rear was originally separate cottages. Interior has
chamfered and moulded raised cruck and some original stud frame walls. Central
cross wall said to have smoke staining and may be the original smoke screen.
Roof said to have wind braces.
