Wall and Gateway; Gateway inscribed FR 1616 IR (Francis/Jane Radcliffe).
Gateway squared stone, wall roughly-coursed large rubble. Segmental arch with
narrow chamfer and pointed keystone, on moulded imposts; cornice and parapet
with leaded inscription and chamfered coping with square moulded finial to
right and bases of others centre and left. Wall to left has double-chamfered
coping with roll moulding linking to Chapel (q.v.).

The archway was the main entrance to the courtyard of the early C17 Dilston Hall.
