Former town hall now business premises. 1861. Ashlar sandstone and Welsh
slate roof. Classical style. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Rusticated ground floor
with segmental headed openings: 4-panel doors and 3-pane overlights in end
bays, have alternating jambs and voussoirs and vermiculate rustication;
identical door and overlight in bay to right of centre; sashes in remaining
openings. Band and first-floor sill string. Sashes above in architraves
with panelled aprons and individual cornices. Deep eaves cornice on moulded
stone brackets. Central feature above eaves has segmental pediment and
originally contained a clock face. Low-pitched hipped roof.
