Headstone 1860 and 1868, by W. Anderson and (former stone) H. Close. Sandstone.
Both have shaped shouldered heads and inscription surrounds with spiralled
pilasters, and masons' signature on right edge. Western stone has draped urn
and mourners ('IN ADAM ALL DIE') beneath ascending angel ('IN CHRIST SHALL ALL
BE MADE ALIVE'), above inscription to Thomas Adamson of Spitalshield, d.1860.
Eastern stone has robed figure with nimbus pointing to book; inscription to
John Carr of Dotland Park (d.1831) and family. Stone probably 1868, the date
of death of one son.
