House, c.1827, with extensive C20 additions to north and east. Brick with
ashlar dressings, hipped Westmorland slate roof, 2 stacks on rear elevation,
moulded timber cornice, angle pilasters, very fine tuck-pointed brickwork.
2 storeys, 5 bays. Central recessed round-headed door surround with panelled
door plus fanlight, flanked by 2 round headed glazing bar sashes with rubbed
brick heads and beyond, single round headed gateways to garden. Above, 5 glazing bar
sashes with rubbed brick heads. Interior has dog leg staircase with scrolled
handrail and original contemporary plasterwork. Outside, dwarf front boundary
wall, brick with stone coping; rear garden wall approx. 3M high, brick, brick
coped, with 3 tapering buttresses.
