Farmhouse now house. Possibly C15 core remodelled C17 and C19. Regular coursed
ironstone rubble. Stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses at front, C20
tile to rear. 3 stone stacks to ridge and ends. T-plan. Single-storey plus
attic. Main part: Pointed arched doorway to centre has continuous mouldings, and
beast head jamb stops. Doorway C14 probably re-set. Bay window to right, sash
window to left. 5 windows to attic. mostly sashes. C16/C17 wood mullioned window
to right end. Kitchen to rear right has stone steps on exterior leading to
granary above. Wing to left: Entrance to left. C19/C20 sash windows to ground
floor and attic. Trefoil-headed window in left side wall. Stone mullioned window
with hood mould and label stops to attic above Drawing Room. 3-light stone
mullioned window to cellar to left rear wing. Interior: C15 hall range range has
smoke blackened timbers and arched braces; wing to left includes room with
moulded beam, stone flag floor and runnel. Kitchen has chamfered bean and plank
doors. C17 fireplace to rear wing. (Salmon Farm).
