Farmhouse. Early/mid C18, possibly incorporating earlier elements; extended mid
C19. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings; Stonesfield-slate
roofs with ashlar and brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys plus attic. Right 3 bays
of 5-window front are C19 and have sashes at first floor, a central stone porch,
a canted bay window, and a French window with ornamental overlight. A storeyband
continues from the earlier section which has casements of 2 and one lights with
keyblock flat arches at both floors. The left gable stack has an ashlar base.
The left gable wall returns to a contemporary 2-window rear wing with similar
2-light windows and a doorway facing left. To rear of the C19 wing is a
pyramid-roofed turret. Interior not inspected but noted as containing some
reused early C17 panelling. Adjacent to a moated site.
