2 cottages now house. C17. Coursed and uncoursed ironstone rubble. Steeply
pitched thatched roof. Brick ridge stack. 2-unit plan. Single storey plus attic.
Entrance has C20 door in opening with substantial stone lintel. Entrance is
flanked by renewed 3-light casements with original wood lintels. Right gable has
C20 French door with hood lintel. Above a renewed 2-light casement. Interior:
straight flight stair with plank door at foot of stair with wood latch and strap
hinges. Inglenook with chamfered bressumer and bread oven recess. Stop-chamfered
beams. Deeds said to date to the early C17. Said to have been 2 dwellings within
the last 50 years and the second dwelling had a ladder stair to the attic floor.
Stone flag floors.
