Farmhouse. Mid C17 with C18, C19 and C20 alterations and extensions. Finely
jointed, coursed squared ironstone. Steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to
diminishing courses. Stone ridge and end stacks with renewed blue brick shafts.
Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. 2-unit plan extended by rear wing and
additions to roughly form an L-plan. 2 storeys plus attic. 2-window range.
Original central entrance with moulded stone architrave and arched stone lintel,
now blocked. C20 french door on left. 5-light stone mullioned window on right
has mullions of ovolo section. Similar first floor window on right, and a
renewed C20 four-light stone mullion window. Two C20 dormers. Wrought-iron
casement fasteners, crown glass, wrought-iron springs. No hood moulds or label
stops. Left end has 4- and 3-light C19 windows with cambered arched stone heads
and metal casements in wood frames. Attic has a 2-light stone mullion window
with mullions of ovolo section. C19 wing has metal casements in wood frames and
cambered, arched stone heads. Interior has a stop-chamfered beam.
