Farmhouse. C16/C17. Regular coursed ironstone rubble with fine joints. Steeply
pitched tile roof. Stone stacks and brick stacks on stone bases to ends, stone
copings. 2 storeys plus attic. L-plan. Main range has wing projecting on right.
Doorway to right has 4-centred arched head, chamfered soffit and jambs and
6-panelled door. 2-light stone mullion window to right. To left a 4-light stone
mullion window. Continuous hood mould to all ground floor openings. First floor
has two 3-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds and label stops. 2 gable
front dormers have moulded kneelers and 2-light stone mullion windows. Wing to
right has 4-light stone mullion windows to ground floor, 3-light stone mullion
windows to first floor and 2-light mullion window to attic. Hood moulds and
label stops, some probably renewed. All mullions painted white. Stone plinth.
Single storey extension to left has brick and stone axial stack, 3-light stone
mullion window. Stone coping to left. Interior: 4-centred stone fireplace;
inglenook fireplace with bressumer; stop-chamfered beams, chamfered joists;
wooden winder stair; butt purlin roof; stone flag floors. N.M.R. photograph.
