Shop and dwelling. C17 or earlier, raised C18. Limestone rubble and squared
quoins; timber framing with brick infill; plain-tile roof. 3-unit plan with 3
rear wings. 2 storeys. Front has, to right, door between shallow bay windows
under a tiled canopy and, to left, combined door and shop window. Narrow
first-floor windows to right and centre have been replaced by 3-light C20
sashes. Hipped roof. End walls show signs of former gable line. Late C17/early
C18 timber-framed rear wing to left; extended C20. C18 rubble rear wing to
right. Rendered brick infill range. Interior: Timber-framed range has internal
gable in very small framing and clasped-purlin roof; pole purlins of former roof
and some massive flat joists survive in main range.
