8/37 The Plough.
GV II
Public House. Mid C18. Limestone rubble with brick dressings; old plain-
tile roof with brick gable-stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attics.
Symmetrical 3-window front, with central C20 panelled door under segmental-
roofed hood flanked by 3-light casements under timber lintels; similar
casements over with a 2-light window between. Two 2-light hipped roof dormers.
Brickwork with flared headers in 5-course quoins to all openings and returns,
below eaves, in moulded storey-band and in moulded weathering to plinth.
One-storey C20 extensions to right and left.
