Millhouse. Mid and late C18. Red and flared brick; old plain-tile roof with
brick stacks. 3-unit plan, extended. 2 storeys plus attics. 7-window front is of
2 builds. Range to left, with plinth, storey band, flared panels between windows
and flared headers elsewhere, has 3 segmental-arched 2-light casements at ground
floor, with doorway to extreme left, plus 4 first-floor casements immediately
below a rendered band. A high parapet links with that of the slightly-later
3-window range, to right, which has flared headers, segmental arches, a storey
band, 12-pane sashes and a further entrance to left. Storey heights in the later
range are greater, but a continuous roof, half-hipped to left, unites both
parts, and has 3 gabled roof dormers and 2 stacks. 2 small wings project to
rear. Interior not inspected. Overy Mill (q.v.) adjoins to left.
