Gates with lodges. c.1830, possibly by D. Harris and R. Abrahan. Wrought-iron
double gates with gothic tracery. North and south lodges, ashlar stone; slate
double-depth roofs; stone stacks with quatrefoil panels to top. Single-storey,
2-window ranges to driveway. Ribbed and studded wood doors to centre with gabled
stone porches with 4-centred archways. Lancet windows to left and right.
Elevations to road form symmetrical composition with gates. Octagonal piers to
gates, having battlemented tops. 3-bay range to left has 12-pane windows to left
and centre. Recessed cross to right. 4-bay range to right has 4-centre arched
pedestrian doorway to left, 12-pane windows to right and right of centre.
Recessed cross to left of centre. Both elevations have battlemented parapets.
