Farmhouse. Mid C18, possibly partly earlier. Limestone rubble with brick
dressings; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. T-plan. 2 storeys. Symmetrical
5-window front, with projecting brick quoins, plinth, storey band and cill
bands, has a dentil eaves course and gauged-brick segmental arches. The central
doorway has a 6-panel door and rectangular overlight and all windows have
2-light casements except to left of the entrance where a pair of windows has
been altered to a 3-light casement. Roof has flanking stacks. Left ride of rear
wing has massive chimney and bread-oven projections, and the right side has 2
further entrances. Roof of wing is hipped at rear. Interior: long rear wing was
formerly one room on each floor, with ladder access, and may be part of an
earlier house.
