House. C17. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled thatch roof; right end stack of
stone finished in brick and similar rear lateral stack finished in C18 brick.
2-unit plan. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Timber lintels over C20 plank
door and flanking C19 (left) and C20 three-light casements: similar C20 dormer
casements. C20 extension to rear. Interior not inspected but likely to be of
interest. In 1874 Ruskin mentioned this cottage when he encouraged
