Farmhouse, now house. c.1770-80. Front of glazed header bond brick with red
brick quoins and dressings; stone slate roof, C20 valley tiles; brick stacks.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Broken pediment over 6-panelled
door with decorative fanlight. Gauged brick flat arches over 8-pane sashes, with
shutter hinges on ground floor. Wood dentilled cornice. Half-hipped M-shaped
roof; end and internal stacks. Side walls with "oeuil-de-boeuf" openings have
brick dentilled parapets carried across at ridge height. Mid C19 four-light
casement to rear left. Attached to rear left is mid C18 two x 3-bay, one storey
and attic block remodelled in late C19, of Flemish bond brick with flared
headers, with brick dentilled eaves and hipped old tile roof. Interior: Late C19
four-panelled doors. Front left room has keyed round-headed cupboards with
fluted pilasters. Rear left room has panelled dado and moulded stone mantleshelf
over open fireplace. Stone flag floor to central through-passage. C18
two-panelled door to cellar. Late C1B straight-flight staircase. First-floor
front right room has late C18 surround to iron grate with neo-classical motifs,
Attic has 8-panelled doors.
