GV II

Bale tomb. Dated 1718. Limestone. Two worn inscription panels each side, flanked
by foliate scrolls to rear. Moulded cornice: gadrooned bale with skulls set in
shell hoods at ends. Chest tomb to south-east. Mid C18. Limestone. Two winged
cherubs' heads carved over inscription panel, flanked by 2 narrow panels with
trailing foliate carving: moulded cornice and capping. Commemorates John James
(died 1760) and others of the James family.
