Cottage and attached barn. Late C18 and early C19 with minor later additions and
alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble with ironstone banding to cottage.
Slate roof to cottage, corrugated iron to barn. Late C18 three-bay barn with
earlier C19 cottage attached to left, its right room on both floors incorporated
in left bay of barn. Cottage. 2 storeys; small C19 casements with wood lintels
on each floor to left and right of roughly central boarded door under open
gabled timber porch. Integral end stack to left with purple engineering brick
shaft. Low rubblestone extension attached to left gable end has integral end
stack and front rebuilt in late C19 red brick. Barn has wide opposing entrances
with wood lintels to centre square and triangular air vents. Low rubblestone
extension attached to right gable end. Interior: of barn. Collar and tie beam roof in 3 bays with
double butt-purlins; loft.
