Farmhouse and attached cottage. Farmhouse. C17, altered C18 and mid to late C19.
Red Brick front on coursed rubble plinth, random limestone rubble behind; slate roof
with prominent axial ridge stack. 2-room lobby-entry type with wide projecting 2-
storey porch. 2 storeys and garret; 1:1 windows, C20 sashes under C19 segmental
heads; plain ledged door and coped gable to porch. Brick return to both end gables
and irregularly spaced C19 multi-paned leaded casements to rear, 3 on each floor.
Interior. Very large fireplace with chamfered lintel to east room, 2 moulded beams
in west room. Cottage. Now part of the farmhouse. Random limestone rubble. One
storey and attic with brick window heads to ground floor; 2 gabled eaves dormers, 3
casements to ground floor, all with Gothic glazing; central ledged door with bread
oven and axial chimney to rear, tallet steps to blocked doorway to left. Slightly
taller 2 window extension to left. Picturesque.
