Farmhouse. Probably C17 with later additions and alterations. Painted
brick to front and right gable end, painted uncoursed limestone rubble
to rear and left gable end; slate roof, graded to rear. One storey and
attic with floor band to right gable end; apparently of 4 framed bays.
Two C20 casements to left of wide gabled C19 brick porch to right of centre
and one C19 segmental-headed casement to right. 3 late C19 gabled eaves
dormers, outer with contemporary casements and centre with C20 casement.
Porch has toothed cornice to gable and wide segmental-headed outer doorway
with C20 half-glazed door and flanking windows. Red brick ridge stack
between first and second windows from left. Rubblestone range at right-
angles to rear has large integral red brick end stack. C19 rubblestone
addition running parallel with main range to rear on left. Interior.
Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (November 1986) but centre
ground-floor room noted as having large stack and chamfered spine beam
and joists. Similar ceiling beam and joists to left room which has
cellar beneath.
