Granary, now converted to house. Probably c.1600 with later additions
and alterations, chiefly of late C20. Timber framed with rendered infill
on uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, carried up to first floor level to
rear on east and west sides and to south gable end; plain tile roof.
2 levels. Framing: square panels, 5 from cill to wall-plate with criss-
cross pattern, similar to that on south-gable of barn to east of nos.
6 and 8 (q.v.), to gables. Windows in panels of framing, external lateral
stacks, gabled stone porch to east side and gallery to south gable end
all contemporary with late C20 conversion to domestic accommodation.
Interior. Much altered but retains double-purlin roof in 2 bays, although
centre truss is now largely concealed. Former granary to adjacent Lower
House (q.v.). Included for group value.
