Charnel house. Circa 1903-4. Roughly dressed grey sandstone ground
floor with ashlar dressings and weatherboarded timber framed first
floor; hipped plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Ground-floor with chamfered
coping, chamfered square window to north and doorway to west; narrow
openings in coping to east and west. First floor with roof extended
to form canopy to west, joists with shaped ends resting on stone substructure,
and pair of low boarded doors to east with strap hinges. Interior:
2 king post trusses. The building is incorporated in the churchyard
wall (not included on this list) to the north of the church of St.
Mary Magdalene (q.v.). This is a well-designed example of an interesting
building type.
