Statue of Homerus. Probably mid C18. By P. Sheemakers. Limestone with name
inscribed at base. Repositioned from Stowe in 1938. One of a group including
statues of Socrates, Epaminondas and Licurgus. (q.v. Gatepiers and gates
approximately 40 metres south west of Cottesbrooke Hall).
