GV II
House, formerly farmhouse. Early C18, much re-modelled late C19. Coursed squared
ironstone, slate roof, stone end stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range.
Main front to garden has central part-glazed door with overlight, and stone
lintel with keyblock. Single-light window to left, the rest have wood mullion
and transom windows. All have stone sills and lintels with keyblocks. Two
2-light roof dormers left and right, stone coped gables with kneelers.
Single-storey wing to rear of left end with 2-light stone mullion windows with
moulded architraves to cellar either side. Datestone inscribed 1710 to rear.
Interior has early C18 staircase with fat turned balusters. Included for group
value.
