Disused L-shaped cottage approx. 30m south-west of Plas Yolyn

Cottage, now disused. Mid-to late C17 with minor later alterations.
Timber framed with red brick infill, painted to front, on sandstone rubble
and brick plinth; slate roof. L-plan with longer range to rear on left.
One storey and attic. Framing: square and rectangular panels, 3 from
cill to wall-plate plus long straight tension braces to rear range. Queen-
strut end truss to left with V-struts from collar. C19 casements in panels
of framing to either side of roughly central doorway with rectangular over-
light. Hip-roofed hatch above eaves to right. Red brick stack in
bottom of roof slope to rear on right. Interior. Right ground-floor room
has chamfered cross beam and joists with C19 cast-iron range to back wall.
Rear range has 2 chamfered cross beams and flat heavy joists to ground floor
and central truss with raking struts from cambered tie beam to principal
rafters.
