Vicarage, now house. 1857 by Edward Haycock Jun. with minor later
alterations. Rock-faced sandstone ashlar; machine tile roof. Two storeys.
West elevation has steep-pitched projecting gable to left with lean-to
porch attached to right. South side has 2 gables, left slightly projecting.
Cusped lancet windows throughout in groups of 2 or 3 with canted bays
to ground floor on south side; gabled dormer piercing eaves directly above
entrance. This has slightly recessed half-glazed double doors in pointed
doorway. Stone ridge and external lateral stocks including to right
of west elevation and to left side of steep-pitched gable. Cellar to
this range. Vestibule linking house with Church of Holy Trinity (q.v.)
to north: timber structure with machine tile roof on sandstone walls
with chamfered coping. Cusped lancet windows to both sides with leaded
lights and intersecting curved braces to blind panels. Doorway to right
of centre on west has shouldered head with cusped octofoils above and
double boarded doors with decorated strap hinges. B.O.E. p. 312.
