metres east of Haselbury Old Bridge
GV
II
Stone gateway and stile. Probably early C19. Ham stone ashlar. Gate piers about 400mm square at base, tapering to 300m
square, with hollow chamfer at top, then rounded square, not ball, finials: matching pier to east, abutting a rubble
wall; between this pier and the gatepost a stone slab about 1 metre square, 120mm thick, with a single stone step
abutting on the north side and 2 steps on south side: C20 metal farm gate. Unusual survival of such a feature in this
area.
