Road bridge over River Axe. Possibly built in 1824 for Sir Alexander Hood, Local lias stone cut and squared, with some
Ham stone dressings. Three semi-circular arches, plain above with level parapets having chamfered copings and outward
solays at each end, extended on SW corner towards Forde Abbey, Dorset (qv): full-height angled cutwaters on east side,
on west side angled only below arch springing. (Bentley J.B and Murless B.I, Somerset Roads, S1AS, l985).
