Detached farmhouse. C16 origins. Local lias stone cut and squared, triple roll clay tile roof between stepped coped
gables; brick chimney stacks. 'L' plan; two storeys, 3 bays. Two-light small-pane casements bays 1 and 2 under timber
lintols; to bay 3 a 12-pane sash window under flat voussoired arch, set at mezzanine level: to right of bays 1 and 2,
the latter at mezzanine level, 6-panel doors in plain openings. Interior not seen, but reported are deep chamfered
crossbeams, some with step and run-out steps, a winding staircase in east gable, one stud and panel partition, and
arch-braced tenoned collar trusses, some with carved windbraces: bay 3 thought to be later extension, containing cider
cellar and cheese room - the cheese racks still in situ - and parlour above. (SSAVBRG Report, August 1983).
