Alehouse, now public house. C17 and mid C18. Two builds, the earlier to the north; colourwashed brick, flint and clunch, the later with a brick facade. Thatched roof extends over both. The north block is L-plan with entrance in re-entrant angle having a six-panelled door under a hipped porch. C19 windows, but one three-light leaded window over porch. Roof hipped. South block perhaps remodelling of earlier end. Two storeys, three bays. Facade of red and blue bricks with central six-panelled door in a C19 open gabled porch. C18-early C19 windows, leaded to first floor and central blind panel. Roof hipped to right and multiple flued stack to left gable at junction with earlier structure. C19 single storey extension to right with brick and poor-man's slating and two stacks. Extensive C20 rear extensions.
Interior: has chamfered spine beams with ogee stops. Large stone fireplace.
