Circa 1630. Red brick, with some grey brick. Brick plinth and moulded string
course at lst floor height. Said to be cavity walls, 18 ins thick. Tiled roof,
coped gable ends with kneeler. 3 large diagonal chimney stacke rise from rectangular
plinth above west gable end. More chimneys at rear. Southern, or main, facade
2 storeys, 5 windows, 2 light and 3 light casements. Leaded glazing, some of which
is probably original. Centre gabled porch. At rear 3 gothic style windows inserted,
2 storey outshuts and original dairy on stone foundation to which a 2nd storey
has been added in same style. Originally the Dower House of Newlands Manor.
