Well house. 1840 by Thomas Larkin Walker for John Toon. English bond brick with
sandstone dressings. Stone pyramid roof with weatherings and finial. Square
plan. Tudor Gothic style. Splay blue brick and sandstone plinth. Diagonal
buttresses. Moulded stone 4-centred doorways to return sides have hood moulds
with lozenge stops. Moulded cornice. Front and rear have 2 straight-headed
windows of one traceried light with hood mould. Interior has original cast iron
pump dated 1840 with initials NL.
