Farmhouse. C17 or earlier, and early C19. The earlier block to
rear, greensand rubble, with upper level of front probably
originally timber framed, now replaced in brick. Pantiled roof.
C19 front block of Flemish brickwork on stone sill and slated roof.
Single storey and attic, raised to 2 storeys. Three bays, the two
left bays with a central 4-panelled door and flat canopy on
brackets. Three light casement window to left, canted bay to
right, and stone-mullioned window to rear elevation. Upper floor
has C19 three-light casements. Third bay beyond axial stack
similar. Cross wing added early C19, 2 storeys, 3 bays,
symmetrical elevation with central half-glazed door deeply recessed
in arched and rounded opening. Flanking large tripartite 12-pane
sashes with blind head within 3-centred finely gauged brick arches.
Upper floor has 16-paned sashes with painted reveals and stone
sills extended across elevation as string course. Roof hipped.
Interior has panelled shutters and doors to front block, and marble
fireplace in left room, originally the better parlour.
