Probably an early Cl9 reproduction of No 18 adjoining (q.v). 2 storeys.
Brick on stone plinth. Chamfered stone quoins. Walls carried up to parapet
with stone coping. Slate roof, hipped to left, with end brick chimneys.
4 arched sash window on 1st floor in stone architrave surrounds with moulded
stone cills; glazing has central division. 2 wide segmental headed 2 light
casements on ground floor, brick arched heads with stone key blocks, and central
arched doorway with moulded stone architrave, plain springers and key block,
the arch is 2 centred. The doorway is entered below road level, 5 steps down.
Gabled return to right with similar articulation plus an oculus with architrave
in gable. Dwarf wall across front. Brick with stone coping and simple foliate
head railings. Taller end parts of wall ramped up to gatepiers. Latter square,
stone built and panelled; about 8 ft high with wide cap moulding and heavy
caps.
