Late C18, altered. 3 storeys. Brick with 14 inch flat arches. Stone strings
at 1st and 2nd floor level. Moulded brick plinth and eaves cornice. Slate
roof. Gable ends with stone copings and flanking chimney to left (right hand
one gone) with moulded stone capping and modillion base, [altered in C19].
Glazing bar sash windows. Single central window flanked by 3 light windows
to upper floors. Each 3-light window of 3 panes with narrow side lights.
Ground floor windows also altered in C19: casement cross windows with patterned
and coloured top lights [cf Leighton House which like Westbury House belonged
to Henry Laverton]. Central stucco C19 porch with altered arched central
half-glazed door in surrounds of Doric pilasters, cornice and blocking course.
Very fine railings mentioned in previous list now destroyed. South return
has 3+1 windows to 1st floor with arched stone heads to plate glass sashes
with stone bracketted balconettes. Later extension to North - red brick with
stone dressings; 3 storeys with slate roof; 3 light arch headed windows on
1st floor, 4 light arch headed windows on 2nd floor. Rear elevation altered
- brick with stone dressings and astragal to cornice; projecting central porch
with round headed arch on short columns with floral caps.
