Two cottages. Circa 1700, extended C18. Chequered flint and
limestone, partly rendered, thatched roof with coped verge and
brick stack to left, half-hip to right. L-plan. Two-storey, 3-
window entrance front to No 2. Central C20 gabled porch with
planked door, 3-light leaded casement either side. First floor has
3-light casement to left and two 2-light casements to right; all
leaded. Left return has C20 door to No 1 and leaded casements.
Right return with lean-to extension.
Interior of No 2 has deep chamfered beam with stepped stops,
possibly reset, open fireplace with cambered chamfered lintel on
chamfered stone jambs, with bread oven. Known as the French Horn
Inn during C19.
