Three cottages in row. Late C17 with C19 addition. Squared and
coursed rubble, but squared and coursed dressed stone to roadside
front of No 8, stone dressings and stone slate roof to road,
concrete tile to rear; roof hipped to Nos 8 and 9 at west end: 2
rebuilt ridge stone stacks, one east end brick stack. Single
storey and attic to No 7, two storeys to Nos 8 and 9 forming
irregular L-shaped plan. No 7 to left is C19 with 2-light
casement fenestration and gabled dormers through the eaves line.
Plank door to east end wall. No 8 has C17 openings with moulded
architraves, that to ground floor right with hoodmould and flush
relieving arch over: 2-light C19 casement. Upper window is a 2-
light chamfered mullion with casements. Moulded architrave to
blocked doorway now fenestrated with rustic flower and leaf carving
to the lintel; door to left with moulded lintel and further
fragment of carving: plank door. No 9 to south-west corner and
rear has gabled porch to west end wall, further plank door to left
and catslide roof to road. Garden front of Nos 8 and 9 has
continuous string course over ground floor windows.
