Grittleton estate house, c1860 remodelling of C17 building, rubble
stone with stone slate eaves roof, barge boards, end stacks and one
ridge stack. Two storeys, 3-window range, with two main gables and
small centre gable, all with fretted barge boards. Recessed ovolo-
moulded mullion windows, 3-light, 2-light and 3-light to first
floor, all with blank shields over, 4-light with king mullions to
ground floor each side of centre door flanked by 2-light windows.
All windows with hoodmoulds. Door is in open ashlar porch with
barge boarded gable, depressed arch to front and chamfered piers.
