House, C16 or early C17, rubble stone with stone slate roof, hipped
to west, half hipped to east and ridge stack. Two storeys and
attic, four window range of recessed hollow-moulded stone mullion
windows with hoodmoulds, some Cl9. Left side has two 3-lights
above and two four-lights below, right side has C19 openings in
similar style, 2-light over door and 3-light each floor to right.
Door has moulded stone lintel but is probably altered. Hipped
stone-slated timber porch. East end wall has original 3-light
mullion window with hoodmould lighting stair and later large timber
mullion window to attic. South east rear wing has similar mullion
windows and large east side chimney gable with two shafts to stack.
Two-light window to first floor left. South end of wing has
original ground floor 4-light and first floor 3-light. Attic
casements. West side has original 3-light each floor. Rear of
main range has original 3-light each floor to right, straight
joint, then door with original single light over. South west rear
wing, hipped to south with ridge stack. East wall is largely C19.
Interior: ground floor east room has plaster ceiling decoration
with RE 1609 in mirror image. East end stair has moulded oak
doorway at foot, dog-leg enclosed stair with moulded handrail and
five similar doorways at first floor landing. Tie-beam and collar
trusses to roof.
