House, basically early C17, structurally forming part of the
rear wing of No.76 (qv) but separately occupied. Part
timber-framed, part C19 red brick; weatherboarded along upper
storey on north. Slate roof.
EXTERIOR: part 2-storey, part 3; cellar. Random fenestration
on the south side, several 2-light small-paned early C19
casement windows on the north with pointed Gothic heads.
INTERIOR: the small cellar is only partly below ground and has
2 massive reused timber posts used as ceiling beams with
attached C20 joists. The rooms above are on different levels
and the range has an earlier ground storey and a C18 upper
storey, on to which a C19 brick facing was added. C18
wallplates and purlins are associated with apparently later
collars. Several early to mid C19 raised grates in the upper
rooms.
