5/27 The Manor House

13.10.52 II

Manor House. Late C17 with C19 alterations and additions to rear. Timber
frame and clad in C17 English bond red brick with plain tile roof.
2 storey and attic; platt band rusticated brick quoins and 2 shallow
central brick pilasters. Hipped roof with 2 hipped dormers and stack to
right. 4 windows, that to left of 3 Dering lights, otherwise of 4 lights.
Ground floor windows with gauged heads. C19 round headed door with
2 lights in door in central gabled porch. Rough brick semi-circular
entrance arch flanked by pilasters supporting a crude entablature.
