The centre portion in probably a mediaeval hall-house. The exterior is C18.
Two storeys. Ground floor painted brick, above tile-hung. Hipped tiled roof.
Six Dering windows. Projection of 2 window bays at the north-west end. Two-storeyed
bay in the centre. C19 post office shop-front built out on the ground floor
at the south-east end. C19 iron range to the Old Bakery and inglenook fireplace.
The steps at the front are of Bethersden marble. The back door step is a mill
stone.
